Structural Calculation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate manufacturing deviations (geometric, material, assembly) to ensure structural integrity.
• Perform structural calculations including static, fatigue, and damage tolerance using analytical (RDM) and finite element (FEA) methods.
• Define and dimension reliable technical repair solutions in coordination with design and production teams.
• Draft calculation reports and technical justification files for certification authority approval.
• Act as a technical interface between quality teams, manufacturing workshops, and the final client.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Master 2 in Structural Mechanics, Aeronautics, or Materials.
• Solid expertise in aeronautical structural calculation.
• Mastery of analytical structural calculation concepts (RDM, buckling, composite/metallic materials).
• Proficiency in finite element mesh and calculation tools (e.g., Patran/Nastran, Hypermesh, Abaqus).
• Operational technical English for reading and writing calculation reports.
• Knowledge of deviation processing (concessions) and Airbus processes is a major asset.
