About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic structural analysis using established tools and methods to assess structural environments and performance
  • Validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications in operational environments
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and identifying potential improvements
  • Collaborate with team members, program managers, regulatory agencies, and operational users
  • Support test execution and analyze/report results to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to product design using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to help define the product’s environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
  • Experience multi-tasking and working effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions with multiple engineering and support teams
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of related work experience
  • Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis
  • Experience performing Durability and Damage Tolerance Analysis (D&DT) for aircraft
  • Experience executing Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP)
  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEM)
  • Proficiency in performing stress, thermal, fatigue, fastener, and tolerance analysis using software and manual calculations
