About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements.
- Verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze results to validate system requirements.
- Define and document certification results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing potential improvements.
- Develop analytical processes and tools to improve the effectiveness and quality of development efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences).
- 3+ years of experience specifically in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Proven experience in technical report writing.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship is required).
- For Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with structural analysis on military aerospace products.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1530 (Aircraft Structural Integrity Program) requirements.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, or Lifeworks.
- Experience with Spectrum Generation and Full-Scale Fatigue Testing.
- Experience with Materials Review Board (MRB) activities related to aircraft structures.
