About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements.
  • Verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze results to validate system requirements.
  • Define and document certification results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing potential improvements.
  • Develop analytical processes and tools to improve the effectiveness and quality of development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences).
  • 3+ years of experience specifically in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
  • Proven experience in technical report writing.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship is required).
  • For Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with structural analysis on military aerospace products.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1530 (Aircraft Structural Integrity Program) requirements.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, or Lifeworks.
  • Experience with Spectrum Generation and Full-Scale Fatigue Testing.
  • Experience with Materials Review Board (MRB) activities related to aircraft structures.
