Structural Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity and margins of safety using classical techniques and Boeing tools
• Provide guidance on structural design and configuration development
• Create trade studies to optimize structures and meet program requirements
• Integrate component-level structural models and perform integrated analysis using finite element methods (FEA)
• Document structural analyses and data to ensure compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in the resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues
• Support regular and emergent domestic or international travel as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor of science in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in Stress Analysis or Structural Analysis
• 3+ years of experience with classical hand analysis and FEA software
• Experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Long Beach, CA
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education
• 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring structural analyst team members
• 2+ years of experience engaged in 787 primary structural analysis
