Struct & Payload Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in developing, integrating, and documenting interior payload system requirements
• Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using various design tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production operations, supply chain, and customers
• Perform and analyze tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet specifications
• Support multi-disciplinary problem-solving efforts, including production build and installation support
• Review engineering designs for soundness, quality, and producibility
• Document design intent, system requirements, and lessons learned for historical purposes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences focus)
• 2+ years of engineering experience, including design, integration, and/or certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials, properties, and design release processes
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with design and certification tools such as CATIA V5, ENOVIA, or PDM
• Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage complex work packages and track milestones diligently
• Experience working with regulatory agencies, suppliers, or customers
