Stress Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform PWHT procedures and set up welds for local and/or furnace applications
• Read and interpret PWHT procedure guidelines, blueprints, and job orders
• Operate overhead cranes and perform pipe rigging
• Identify and protect flange faces, thread ends, and specialty parts during heat treatment
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
• Install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces
• Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Complete production paperwork and inspection procedures as directed
• Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to operate an overhead crane and rig pipe
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with furnace and local stress operations
