About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze primary and secondary structural elements of aircraft using various methods and hand calculations
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to validate performance under operational loads
- Participate in the definition of concepts for aircraft structural elements
- Contribute to the definition of certification testing requirements and prepare technical reports for regulatory approval
- Collaborate with other technical disciplines regarding materials and structural elements
- Provide early input to Design teams regarding stress requirements
- Perform fatigue and damage tolerance (F&DT) analysis as required
- Ensure all analyses are consistent with basic analysis assumptions and AS 9100 standard requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing sector
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 design and modeling software
- Familiarity with NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP, and HYPERMESH
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently
