Stress Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze primary and secondary structural elements of aircraft using various methods and hand calculations
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to validate performance under operational loads
• Participate in the definition of concepts for aircraft structural elements
• Contribute to the definition of certification testing requirements and prepare technical reports for regulatory approval
• Collaborate with other technical disciplines regarding materials and structural elements
• Provide early input to Design teams regarding stress requirements
• Perform fatigue and damage tolerance (F&DT) analysis as required
• Ensure all analyses are consistent with basic analysis assumptions and AS 9100 standard requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing sector
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 design and modeling software
• Familiarity with NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP, and HYPERMESH
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently
