About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform static analysis for metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures to provide repair solutions
- Review and interpret damage reports from Maintenance Repair Organizations to verify repair solutions
- Collaborate with Design and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance departments to develop optimum technical solutions
- Create and modify technical documents including Repair Instructions, Technical Communications, and Repair Drawings
- Provide clear and concise responses to routine repair queries from Airbus Operations and Customer Services
- Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process and tool enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Civil, or Mechanical)
- 0 to 3 years of experience in design or analysis with airframe structures
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, and bill of material systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
- Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
- Must be local to the Wichita, KS metro area
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Internship experience in the aerospace engineering field with airframe analysis
- Experience in MRO/Fleet Engineering or Material Review Board (MRB) processes
- Knowledge of maintenance repair shop practices, equipment, and capabilities
- Conversational proficiency in French and/or German
