About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform static analysis for metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures to provide repair solutions
  • Review and interpret damage reports from Maintenance Repair Organizations to verify repair solutions
  • Collaborate with Design and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance departments to develop optimum technical solutions
  • Create and modify technical documents including Repair Instructions, Technical Communications, and Repair Drawings
  • Provide clear and concise responses to routine repair queries from Airbus Operations and Customer Services
  • Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process and tool enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Civil, or Mechanical)
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in design or analysis with airframe structures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, and bill of material systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
  • Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
  • Must be local to the Wichita, KS metro area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Internship experience in the aerospace engineering field with airframe analysis
  • Experience in MRO/Fleet Engineering or Material Review Board (MRB) processes
  • Knowledge of maintenance repair shop practices, equipment, and capabilities
  • Conversational proficiency in French and/or German
