About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine static, fatigue, and damage tolerance (F&DT) analyses to verify structural integrity requirements.
- Conduct detail part sizing, layout maturation, trade study analysis, and weight reduction efforts.
- Document all analyses using Airbus computer-based toolsets such as SAP, CATIA, and VPM.
- Collaborate with Design and F&DT departments to develop optimum structural solutions.
- Develop technical materials and briefings for internal and external customers.
- Communicate project status, technical issues, and proposed solutions to supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in Static or F&DT stress analysis with airframe structures or system installations.
- Experience working with metallic or composite airframe structures.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work onsite in Wichita, KS, at least 90% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong curriculum emphasis on structural design, analysis, and mechanics of materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.
