Strength & Conditioning Intern

Requirements
Bachelor's degree, Experience training athletes, CSCS and/or CsCCa Certification, Valid driver's license
About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning in teaching strength, speed, and conditioning techniques to student-athletes
- Teach the philosophy and techniques of strength and conditioning, including nutrition, power, agility, and quickness
- Critique performance enhancement theories and techniques
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of all performance facilities
- Comply with all laws, policies, and regulations governing the University, NCAA, Atlantic 10, and Pioneer Football Conference
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience training athletes
- CSCS and/or CSCCa Certification (or within 12 months of completion)
- Valid driver's license with a low-risk driving record and ability to be insured by the University
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience training collegiate athletes
- 2 years of strength and conditioning experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of speed development
- Former Collegiate Student-Athlete
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
