Strength & Conditioning Coach

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for 19 varsity sports across off-season, pre-season, and in-season periods
• Conduct performance assessments and track athlete progress to ensure programs meet varying athletic demands
• Lead and supervise team training sessions, instructing proper lifting techniques, speed, agility, and conditioning drills
• Collaborate with athletic trainers to support injury prevention, rehabilitation efforts, and program modifications for recovering athletes
• Oversee daily operations of the Lundquist Student Athlete Center, including equipment maintenance and safety standard enforcement
• Manage the department budget, including the purchasing of necessary equipment and tracking systems
• Work closely with head coaches and athletics administration to align training with team goals and ensure compliance with NCAA Division III rules
• Maintain accurate records of training programs and athlete participation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
• Current certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC)
• Valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• Strong knowledge of strength training, conditioning, and injury prevention principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Previous experience working in collegiate athletics
• Experience working with multiple sports programs
• Familiarity with performance tracking software
