About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, programming, and scheduling for the Performance Center.
- Design, implement, and assess strength and conditioning programs in collaboration with coaches and sports medicine staff.
- Lead team, small group, and individual training sessions for student-athletes.
- Manage equipment inventory, including identifying needs, supporting budgeting, and performing regular maintenance and cleaning.
- Support game and event operations, including setup, breakdown, and risk management.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivational culture within the weight room and athletic facility.
- Supervise assigned personnel and event contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Current Strength and Conditioning Certification through an accredited program (NSCA or CSCAA mandatory).
- CPR/First Aid and AED certification (or ability to obtain it).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate various facility terrains.
- Successful completion of RMV, CHRI, CORI, and SORI background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high school setting or with minor student-athletes.
- Experience working with varsity athletics, preferably at the collegiate level.
- USAW certification.
