Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual sports
• Provide hands-on instruction and supervision during training sessions to ensure proper technique and safety
• Support team practices, games, and competitions, including pre-game warmups and injury prevention strategies
• Maintain and upkeep equipment and facilities to ensure a safe training environment
• Mentor undergraduate interns and assist with their professional development
• Perform clerical duties and maintain organized records as assigned
• Build positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and the campus community

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Acceptance into a West Virginia Wesleyan College graduate program
• CPR/AED certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field
• Pursuing or holding a professional certification (e.g., CSCS, NASM)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
