About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver individual and group strength and conditioning programs for Canadian Armed Forces members to optimize physical performance.
  • Develop specific programming to support injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, and increased operational readiness.
  • Conduct physical fitness evaluations and advanced exercise testing sessions.
  • Provide training, education, and workshops regarding physical fitness and motor skill development.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of reconditioning and physical fitness programming.
  • Research, prepare, and deliver professional reports related to fitness protocols and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, Exercise Physiology, or a related discipline.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
  • CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification.
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering programs for elite-level personnel and clients with physical injuries.
  • Bilingualism in English and French (functional reading, writing, and oral skills) is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with physical fitness evaluation and prescription.
  • Experience in adapted physical fitness and return-to-work protocols.
  • National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification.
