About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver individual and group strength and conditioning programs for Canadian Armed Forces members to optimize physical performance.
- Develop specific programming to support injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, and increased operational readiness.
- Conduct physical fitness evaluations and advanced exercise testing sessions.
- Provide training, education, and workshops regarding physical fitness and motor skill development.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of reconditioning and physical fitness programming.
- Research, prepare, and deliver professional reports related to fitness protocols and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, Exercise Physiology, or a related discipline.
- NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
- CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification.
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
- Proven experience designing and delivering programs for elite-level personnel and clients with physical injuries.
- Bilingualism in English and French (functional reading, writing, and oral skills) is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with physical fitness evaluation and prescription.
- Experience in adapted physical fitness and return-to-work protocols.
- National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification.
