Strategy & Planning Lead

Responsibilities

• Shape and coordinate the development and delivery of SP Energy Networks' strategy and priority initiatives.
• Provide strategic insight into performance, risks, impacts, and financial implications to enable executive evaluation.
• Produce high-quality governance inputs, including Board papers, Operating Group presentations, and Management Group updates.
• Manage critical interfaces and build strong relationships across SP Energy Networks, ScottishPower, and Iberdrola.
• Capture clear actions and outcomes from strategic meetings to ensure effective communication and delivery.
• Support the management of headcount and the consolidation of Long-Term Outlook submissions.

Requirements

• Degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Accountant or other relevant professional qualification.
• Proven experience in structuring and solving complex business problems.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with excellent evidence-based skills.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills for producing executive-level presentations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the UK utilities sector and SP Energy Networks value drivers.
