Strategy (MicroStrategy) Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation, architecture, and operation of the enterprise semantic layer using MicroStrategy and Mosaic
• Act as the technical authority for MicroStrategy, overseeing administration, security, and semantic modeling
• Design and manage enterprise-wide metric definitions, dimensional models, and reusable semantic objects
• Design MicroStrategy security architecture, including user roles and object-level/data-level security
• Oversee the development of reports, dashboards, and analytical applications while establishing development standards
• Monitor and tune platform performance, including query efficiency and usage patterns
• Partner with data engineering teams to align semantic models with physical data architecture
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and mandatory knowledge transfer/training to other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MicroStrategy
• Minimum 15 years of experience in analytics and Business Intelligence (BI)
• Deep expertise in semantic layer architecture and dimensional modeling (star schemas, fact/dimension design)
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, with a preference for Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Proven ability to lead technical design reviews and make architectural decisions
• Excellent communication and teaching skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders
