Strategy Lead, Market Data

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data analysis using Python and SQL to support investment and operational use cases
• Identify, investigate, and remediate data quality issues across datasets and vendors
• Partner with investment, risk, and middle office teams to gather and translate complex business requirements into data solutions
• Lead cross-functional data initiatives from inception through delivery
• Manage relationships with key data providers including Bloomberg, LSEG, and ICE Data Services
• Support contract negotiations, renewals, and cost optimization efforts
• Monitor data usage, licensing compliance, and entitlements

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data, market data, or related roles within financial services
• Strong hands-on experience with data analysis using Python and SQL
• Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of financial markets and asset classes (commodities, fixed income, equity indices, digital assets)
• Experience working with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, LSEG, and ICE Data Services
• Familiarity with market data products and infrastructure (BPIPE, BVAL, licensing, entitlements)
• Experience with data platforms, APIs, and modern data architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments
