Strategist, Strategic Technology Accelerator

Responsibilities

• Own the full POC lifecycle for 5-10 concurrent external engagements, including scoping, partner alignment, and technical validation
• Determine the strategic pathway for each POC, such as product roadmap integration, open-source contribution, or IP capture
• Drive adoption of external technology findings across HP product teams, sales, and marketing functions
• Capture reusable reference architectures and intellectual property from all technical engagements
• Manage technical engagements with university labs, open-source communities, research institutions, and strategic ISV partners
• Report program outcomes and evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience spanning large-tech and startup or VC environments
• Demonstrated track record of running technical POCs end-to-end with measurable outcomes
• Technical depth sufficient to evaluate AI/ML, systems, or adjacent technologies alongside senior engineers
• Experience structuring and managing technical partnerships with external entities
• Proven ability to influence product or engineering roadmaps across organizational boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science (MS or PhD valued)
• Prior experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or technology scouting
• Existing network in AI research labs, open-source communities, or enterprise ISV ecosystems
• Experience as a founder, early-stage operator, or in corporate venture capital
