Strategic Technology Innovator

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all technical aspects related to assigned projects and providing technical operations support for architecture, development, and business analysis.
• Participate in strategic planning of IT projects with companywide or department-wide impact.
• Identify, prioritize, and address critical issues and tasks to ensure business success and cost-effective implementation.
• Provide Level 3 support and act as a subject matter expert on application support for team members.
• Support audit inquiries by providing technical information and helping improve departmental policies and procedures.
• Proactively review internal process gaps and implement innovative, automated solutions to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in an IT Operations lead role.
• 5 to 7 years of experience within the financial services industry.
• Strong technical proficiency with the Broadridge Dataphile system.
• Proven experience in SQL query writing and support.
• Experience supporting SFTP batch jobs.
• Deep understanding of change management and problem management methodologies.
• Experience providing Level 3 technical support.
• University degree or College diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in the Canadian brokerage industry.
• Possession of CSC or IFIC designations.
• Bilingualism (English and French) in both verbal and written communication.
• Exposure to automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
