Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer procurement processes, including RFX and non-competitive processes, for goods, services, and capital equipment.
• Support complex procurements such as clinical trial agreements, construction/CCDC contracts, and capital equipment for renovations.
• Act as the sourcing lead for complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and user groups across the organization.
• Oversee the analysis of bids and proposals, facilitating the evaluation process and coordinating trials or site visits.
• Negotiate, execute, and manage contracts in conjunction with business and operational stakeholders.
• Perform market analysis to advise customers on procurement strategies and marketplace trends.
• Conduct risk assessments in conjunction with stakeholders and provide mitigation input to management.
• Maintain accurate records in procurement systems and manage contract expirations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in business, supply chain, commerce, economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in a public procurement role.
• Demonstrated experience in contract management and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives (BPSPD) and trade agreements (CFTA, CETA).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent strategic sourcing or public purchasing experience within a healthcare environment.
• Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Public Procurement designation.
• Knowledge of SAP S4Hana, Ariba, or online public tendering systems.
