About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and administer procurement processes, including RFX and non-competitive processes, for goods, services, and capital equipment.
- Support complex procurements such as clinical trial agreements, construction/CCDC contracts, and capital equipment for renovations.
- Act as the sourcing lead for complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and user groups across the organization.
- Oversee the analysis of bids and proposals, facilitating the evaluation process and coordinating trials or site visits.
- Negotiate, execute, and manage contracts in conjunction with business and operational stakeholders.
- Perform market analysis to advise customers on procurement strategies and marketplace trends.
- Conduct risk assessments in conjunction with stakeholders and provide mitigation input to management.
- Maintain accurate records in procurement systems and manage contract expirations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in business, supply chain, commerce, economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in a public procurement role.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives (BPSPD) and trade agreements (CFTA, CETA).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent strategic sourcing or public purchasing experience within a healthcare environment.
- Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Public Procurement designation.
- Knowledge of SAP S4Hana, Ariba, or online public tendering systems.
