Strategic Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, carrier services, IX connectivity, and OSP construction services
• Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract awards with ISPs, carriers, utilities, and fiber providers
• Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, SLAs, build timelines, and capacity rights
• Partner with Network Engineering to translate technical requirements into executable sourcing packages
• Manage supplier KPIs covering delivery, availability, resiliency, and cost
• Support troubleshooting of fiber outages and capacity constraints by coordinating with carriers and operations teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Telecom, Business, or Operations
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, network infrastructure, or carrier services
• Direct experience sourcing or managing dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, or telecom network services
• Experience negotiating contracts with ISPs, carriers, or network infrastructure providers
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30%
• Authorization to work without current or future sponsorship requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting hyperscale, AI, or cloud infrastructure deployments
• Familiarity with OSP fiber construction, colocation interconnects, or ecosystems
• Experience operating in global or multi-metro network environments
• Familiarity with ERP, contract lifecycle management, and sourcing tools
