Strategic Senior Acquisition Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting, and execution
• Develop and coordinate program planning documents in accordance with DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.85, and DoDI 5000.87
• Support the development of ASP, RFI/Market Research, RPP, Statements of Work, and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists
• Lead and coordinate all acquisition activities in preparation for Planning and Execution events
• Prepare periodic status reports, executive program briefings, and acquisition plans
• Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design planning to assess progress, risks, and mission requirement achievement
• Advise government customers regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures

Requirements

• Active DOD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions, program management, or contracts management within the DoD
• Experience leading DoD acquisition programs through major milestones for an ACAT I program
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoDI 5000.85 and DoDI 5000.87
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance
• Master's degree
• Experience with MILSATCOM or ground systems acquisition
• Systems engineering experience or certifications (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
• DoD acquisition certifications
• Familiarity with Agile development, Jira, Confluence, and cloud architecture systems
