Strategic Senior Acquisition Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution
• Develop, draft, tailor, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.85, and DoDI 5000.87
• Support the development of ASP, RFI/Market Research, RPP, Statement of Work, and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists
• Lead and coordinate all acquisition activities in preparing for Planning/Execution events
• Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate staff meetings, and develop executive program briefings
• Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design planning/execution reviews
• Advise and assist government customers regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management or contracts management within the DoD
• Experience leading DoD acquisition programs through major milestones for an ACAT I program
• Demonstrated understanding of DoD acquisition policies and processes
• Knowledge of DoDI 5000.85 and DoDI 5000.87
• Active DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Ground systems acquisition or MILSATCOM experience
• Systems engineering experience
• Certifications in DoD acquisition or Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
• Familiarity with Agile, Jira, Confluence, and cloud architecture
• Top Secret security clearance
