Strategic Planning & Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the execution of operational projects and non-interventional studies for the Center for Observational Research (CfOR).
• Lead project planning, coordination, and execution using Agile methodologies, including maintaining detailed plans and tracking milestones.
• Support headcount management, requisition tracking, staffing analysis, and organizational planning.
• Drive the adoption of collaboration platforms such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and Miro.
• Lead strategic initiatives, including operational pilots, change management, and AI experimentation to improve productivity.
• Identify and implement process improvements using generative AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to streamline workflows and documentation.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 2 years of research/program management experience, OR
• Master's with 6 years of research/program management experience, OR
• Bachelor's with 8 years of related experience, OR
• Associate degree with 10 years of related experience, OR
• High school diploma with 12 years of related experience.
• Proven expertise in project management.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and FDA regulations.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft O365, and Miro.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years in pharma/biotech environments.
• Experience in budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities in fast-paced, matrixed settings.
• Experience translating complex data into dashboards for senior leadership.
• Practical experience integrating AI tools and agents into professional project workflows.
