Strategic Partnerships & Funding Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue equity, debt, and project finance opportunities for BESS, solar, and EV charging projects
• Build relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, and clean energy funds
• Lead identification and management of federal and state grant programs (DOE, IRA, CHIPS Act, etc.)
• Manage the full grant lifecycle from application through compliance reporting
• Manage identification and application for federal and state tax incentives including ITC and PTC
• Support government relations efforts and engage with elected officials and regulatory bodies
• Collaborate with Market Management on sales initiatives by identifying funding mechanisms for customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in government grant management, energy project finance, commercial banking, or strategic partnerships
• Proven ability to secure funding, capital, or business opportunities
• Strong relationship-building skills with government agencies and financial institutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposals and presentations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IRA, DOE loan programs, and ITC/PTC structures
• Experience with battery energy storage, solar, or EV infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with PJM or MISO regional transmission organizations
• Understanding of FEOC regulations or tax equity financing
• Experience with state-level economic development programs in the Midwest
• Master’s degree in Finance, Public Policy, or MBA
