Strategic Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transportation execution across manufacturing sites and network flows
• Maintain real-time visibility into inbound materials, shipment status, and production priorities
• Proactively identify risks such as delays or capacity constraints and drive swift resolution
• Own and manage escalations by coordinating across carriers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Partner with material planners, warehouse teams, and customer stakeholders to align execution with production needs
• Drive performance against KPIs across service, cost, and execution metrics
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes
• Provide after-hours support when needed to ensure uninterrupted customer operations

Requirements

• High School diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, specifically LTL and TL
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and generating actionable insights
• Experience with TMS, ERP, or similar operational systems
• Ability to work onsite in Louisville, KY
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in high-volume, execution-driven environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing professional settings
• Familiarity with MercuryGate TMS or Tableau
