Strategic MBSE Requirements & ICD Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of satellite Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for spacecraft, ground systems, and payloads within an MBSE environment
• Develop interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, and system-level interface descriptions
• Manage and coordinate Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs) to ensure consistent communication across stakeholders
• Work with the modeling team to ensure models align with technical baselines, including ICDs and requirement flowdown
• Identify interface risks and drive technical issue resolution across engineering teams
• Support system integration and test activities by providing authoritative interface documentation
• Prepare for Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) in collaboration with Configuration Management
• Develop technical requirements-related briefings and documentation to support government decision-making

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering
• 8+ years of experience working on DoD programs
• 5+ years of experience in architecture modeling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Direct experience developing or managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as Cameo, DOORS, or MATLAB
• Proficiency in modeling languages such as SysML, UPDM, or DoDAF
• Ability to work on-site in a secure facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering
• 5+ years of experience with space systems in space or ground segments
• Experience in a space acquisitions environment
• MBSE certifications (e.g., OCSMP) or professional certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, ASEP, or PMP)
