Strategic Initiatives Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage high-profile, complex, priority projects, including cross-bureau and cross-agency initiatives
• Operationalize the Division's policy strategy in collaboration with Bureau leadership
• Advise on policy and legislative proposals to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities for integration, innovation, and improvement across the Division
• Advise staff and leadership on data methods and the synthesis and presentation of data
• Write reports, guidance, and presentations in plain language for non-technical audiences
• Represent the Division in internal and external meetings to foster partnership and collaboration

Requirements

• Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science, or public health
• Experience in policy, research, or data analysis
• Ability to apply a racial equity and social justice lens to projects
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Experience developing leadership around emerging topics
