Strategic Initiatives Associate

Responsibilities

• Lead high school engagement and recruitment efforts by managing communications with prospective students and families
• Staff and support board and student committees focused on high school engagement
• Cultivate relationships with Columbia University and Barnard College admissions departments
• Travel to high schools nationwide to represent Hillel and build relationships with students and educators
• Track recruitment metrics, maintain data, and prepare effectiveness reports
• Support Student Life and Development departments with special projects, including program development, donor research, and event logistics
• Assist with cross-departmental data analysis and organizational assessment
• Staff signature Hillel experiences such as Kraft Shabbat Dinners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in admissions, outreach, community organizing, or Jewish communal work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office and productivity tools
• Ability to travel for multi-day high school visits
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Jewish holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Columbia University and Barnard College
• Experience with CRM or data management systems
