Strategic Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage unit economics for the N1 implantable device, surgical accessories, and the R1 surgical robot
• Translate engineering changes and tolerances into financial impacts on COGS and gross margins
• Develop and own dynamic "should-cost" models for hardware components
• Partner with engineering teams during architecture reviews to quantify cost vs. performance tradeoffs
• Conduct long-term capacity planning and ROI analysis for manufacturing facility capex
• Provide financial data for make-vs-buy decisions and supplier sourcing analysis
• Track cost-reduction initiatives including scrap reduction and yield improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics, or a related field
• 2-4 years of progressive finance experience (strategic finance, investment banking, or private equity)
• Technical background in engineering through education or work experience
• Deep experience in corporate finance or product/engineering finance
• Proficiency in building streamlined financial models
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, PLM, and cost accounting
• Experience collaborating with technical and engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-growth hardware or medical technology companies
• Functional experience in capital/operations finance or cost engineering
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and Google Sheets
