Strategic Events Lead

Goodfire is a research company using interpretability to understand, learn from, and design AI systems. Our mission is to build the next generation of safe and powerful AI by advancing the science of how AI systems actually work.

Responsibilities

• Own the events strategy and calendar, identifying optimal formats, audiences, and geographies
• Design high-signal experiences for AI researchers, ML engineers, and technical executives
• Execute all operational details including vendor management, budgets, run-of-show, and speaker prep
• Build targeted invite and attendance strategies in partnership with GTM and field teams
• Measure event impact by connecting activities to pipeline, account engagement, and market learning

Requirements

• Experience planning and executing high-quality B2B events, field marketing, or executive gatherings
• Strong project management skills with high operational rigor
• Excellent taste and audience judgment for polished, substantive event design
• Ability to build a function from scratch in a fast-moving, scrappy environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating events for technical audiences, developer communities, or AI/ML teams
• Background as an early events or field marketing hire at a high-growth startup
• Experience with conference strategy, speaker programming, or private roundtables
• Ability to translate event outcomes into account insights and GTM actions
