Responsibilities
As a Strategic Development Program intern, you will participate in five phases to learn all aspects of the business:
- Phase 1: Warehouse logistics, product knowledge, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Phase 2: Operations, including customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory/price controls, and financial statements.
- Phase 3: Inside sales and project management, assisting customers and managing large-scale projects.
- Phase 4: Outside sales and account management, including finding new markets, negotiating contracts, and building client/supplier relationships.
- Phase 5: Career path determination based on learned skills and preferences.
Requirements
- College or university degree
- Positive, results-oriented attitude
- Desire for continuous learning and progress
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and high integrity
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills for building professional relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge of plumbing and construction products
