Strategic Content Tutor

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutorial instruction within the Academic Coaching and Comprehensive Educational Support Services (ACCESS) Program
• Support student awareness and management of personal learning patterns using self-regulated learning models
• Guide students in analyzing academic task requirements and expressing performance standards
• Assist students in setting specific academic goals and selecting or adapting appropriate learning strategies
• Help students reflect on recent performance to self-evaluate academic progress

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Math/Science, Social Sciences, Business, Writing, or Humanities
• Willingness to be trained in self-regulated learning models and embedded organizational/study strategy instruction
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative professional environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience
