Strategic Communications Task Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of strategic communications initiatives informed by research, analytics, and audience insights
• Coordinate messaging, narrative development, and campaign planning across multiple channels
• Establish project management approaches to track progress and align activities with program priorities
• Develop proposals and recommendations with senior leadership to enhance outreach impact
• Support performance monitoring by establishing metrics to measure campaign effectiveness
• Collaborate with Policy, Events, and Partnerships teams to communicate practical insights
• Manage time-sensitive, high-profile, or special project communications efforts
• Prepare leadership messaging, campaign materials, briefings, and talking points

Requirements

• Master's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in organizational strategic communications or public affairs
• Demonstrated experience developing strategic communications plans and performance measures
• Experience supporting executive communications and high-profile promotional events
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to align communications and policy priorities
• DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
