Strategic Buying Services Analyst II

Responsibilities

• Identify supplier overpayment situations and conduct root cause analysis to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with Global Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance to recover overpayments and ensure contract accuracy.
• Deliver high-quality audit results and communicate contract issues to purchasing stakeholders.
• Support purchasing teams during negotiations with suppliers.
• Drive the timely closure of open audits and meet key performance metrics regarding cost recoveries and study aging.
• Analyze Base Material Indexation on contracts and perform special studies as requested.
• Lead automation projects to improve process efficiency and identify recovery opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or five years of professional experience demonstrating proficiency in a relevant setting.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and Conditional formatting.
• Strong English communication skills (conversational to advanced).
• Broad knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, electronics, or assembly).
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving mindset, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments to meet strict deadlines.
