About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate purchase contracts and all related supplier documentation
- Negotiate agreements, pricing, and delivery timelines with suppliers
- Evaluate supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact
- Research and recommend optimal sourcing options to identify cost reduction and optimization opportunities
- Process purchase transactions for materials, parts, and components
- Propose and implement intervention strategies to resolve issues regarding lead times, missing parts, and non-compliance
- Optimize accounts payable management by monitoring key indicators in collaboration with the Purchasing Director and Finance team
- Monitor procurement best practices regarding execution, supplier performance, and process efficiency
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for both operational and commercial processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent significant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, including negotiation and project management
- Proven track record of achieving cost reductions
- Strong ability to establish and maintain long-term business relationships
- Results-oriented mindset with strong persuasion skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP proficiency is a significant asset
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

- Knowledge of the metal industry
