Strategic Buyer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchase contracts and all related supplier documentation
• Negotiate agreements, pricing, and delivery timelines with suppliers
• Evaluate supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact
• Research and recommend optimal sourcing options to identify cost reduction and optimization opportunities
• Process purchase transactions for materials, parts, and components
• Propose and implement intervention strategies to resolve issues regarding lead times, missing parts, and non-compliance
• Optimize accounts payable management by monitoring key indicators in collaboration with the Purchasing Director and Finance team
• Monitor procurement best practices regarding execution, supplier performance, and process efficiency
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for both operational and commercial processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent significant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, including negotiation and project management
• Proven track record of achieving cost reductions
• Strong ability to establish and maintain long-term business relationships
• Results-oriented mindset with strong persuasion skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP proficiency is a significant asset
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Knowledge of the metal industry
