Stormwater Inspection Intern

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and post-precipitation stormwater inspections along active transmission line construction sites, access roads, and staging areas.
• Monitor the installation, maintenance, and effectiveness of erosion and sediment control BMPs such as silt fences, wattles, and inlet protection.
• Document site conditions using detailed field notes, photographs, and standardized inspection reports.
• Identify compliance issues and communicate necessary corrective actions to construction personnel professionally.
• Track and verify the completion of corrective actions to ensure adherence to SWPPP and permit requirements.
• Assist environmental staff with permit tracking, documentation management, and the preparation of inspection reports for regulatory agencies.
• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to all company and client safety protocols in active construction environments.

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed a B.A. or B.S. degree.
• Strong organizational and task management skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work effectively both in large teams and one-on-one.
