About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Materials Manager to prioritize purchases and control day-to-day purchasing functions
  • Evaluate user needs and functionality of various materials
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth department functioning
  • Monitor and maintain inventory records of all purchases
  • Compare quotations, select suppliers, and negotiate terms
  • Ensure purchase orders meet quality, price, and timeliness standards
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and payments
  • Track new legislation, excise, and custom rules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing position
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English proficiency (reading, writing, and oral)
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems
