About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Materials Manager to prioritize purchases and control day-to-day purchasing functions
- Evaluate user needs and functionality of various materials
- Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth department functioning
- Monitor and maintain inventory records of all purchases
- Compare quotations, select suppliers, and negotiate terms
- Ensure purchase orders meet quality, price, and timeliness standards
- Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and payments
- Track new legislation, excise, and custom rules
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing position
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of business acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent English proficiency (reading, writing, and oral)
- Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems
