Storeroom Attendant

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, and tools
• Inspect, sort, assemble, disassemble, stack, and wrap storeroom items
• Package materials for return to shippers when necessary
• Maintain accurate electronic records of all storeroom transactions
• Perform clerical work and furnish information to other departments as required
• Assist with periodic inventory checkups
• Maintain tools and work equipment in clean, ready-to-use condition
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other necessary vehicles or equipment

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs
• Proficiency in, or willingness to become proficient in, electronic record systems
• Valid CT Driver's License with a good driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to operate storeroom equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas materials
• Prior experience operating forklifts
• Computer aptitude
• Prior experience in stores or logistics
