Storekeeper

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue spare parts and materials for heavy equipment while ensuring proper documentation and accurate stock levels
• Use inventory management software and systems to track and record all items
• Maintain up-to-date records of incoming and outgoing items to ensure transaction accuracy
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and organized warehouse to ensure parts are easily accessible and categorized
• Regularly monitor inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and report discrepancies or low-stock items to supervisors
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch or distribution
• Safely handle, lift, and move heavy items and spare parts using proper equipment
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Work closely with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Storekeeper, specifically in a technical warehouse environment dealing with heavy equipment spare parts
• Proficiency with inventory management software and systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Physical stamina and the capability to lift and move heavy objects
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and safe handling procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management
• Forklift certification
