About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers in-store, over the telephone, or in dealer shops
- Look up parts applications using catalogs or POS systems with high accuracy and efficiency
- Assist and advise customers on technical product questions, performance standards, and warranties
- Implement sales practices including greeting customers and demonstrating deep product knowledge
- Maintain store appearance, manage stock orders, and report overages, shortages, or damaged merchandise
- Process transactions and maintain asset security and loss prevention controls
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ASE Parts Specialist (automotive) certification
- Functional literacy for recognizing and accurately identifying part numbers and line codes
- Ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission
- Ability to lift and move parts and boxes weighing up to 60 pounds
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work retail hours at assigned store locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating TAMS point-of-sale systems and cataloging software
- Proficiency in processing cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, or reaching
