Store Manager Trainee

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store personnel by communicating job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Implement action plans to improve operating results and achieve store KPI goals
• Oversee the resolution of employee and customer concerns
• Interview and recommend candidates for store positions
• Manage personnel, including recommendations for advancement or termination
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations
• Train and coach employees to reach their maximum professional potential
• Maintain store zone and merchandising standards
• Ensure a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment
• Manage weekly schedules and oversee inventory, product handling, and cash handling procedures

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment
• Prior management experience
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Ability to operate store equipment including cash registers, pallet jacks, and cardboard balers
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including refrigerator and freezer environments
• Flexibility to travel within divisional requirements for training
