Store Manager Trainee

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store personnel by communicating job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Implement action plans to improve operating results and achieve store KPI goals
• Oversee the resolution of employee and customer concerns in alignment with the district manager
• Manage personnel activities, including interviewing candidates and recommending staff for advancement
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe working environment for the entire team
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Manage store operations including weekly scheduling, inventory procedures, and cash handling policies
• Maintain store zone and merchandising standards to ensure operational excellence

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a retail environment
• Prior management experience
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 pounds and operating equipment like pallet jacks and cardboard balers
• Flexibility to travel to multiple locations within divisional requirements for training
