Store Manager Trainee

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store personnel by communicating job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Implement action plans to improve operating results and achieve store KPI goals
• Oversee the resolution of employee and customer concerns
• Manage personnel, including interviewing candidates and recommending staff for advancement
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations
• Manage store operations including weekly scheduling, inventory procedures, and cash handling
• Maintain store zone and merchandising standards

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate store equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, cardboard baler, floor scrubber)
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including refrigerator and freezer environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with a team
• Flexibility to travel within divisional requirements for training at multiple locations
