Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct all store operations to meet sales targets and control expenses while maintaining high customer service standards
• Hire, orient, train, evaluate, and manage a team of sales associates and volunteers
• Manage store inventory, including the retrieval, sorting, and pricing of donations
• Plan store layouts, window displays, and merchandise presentations to attract customers
• Prepare financial reports, including sales reports, staffing costs, and payroll data
• Ensure store safety and cleanliness, complying with all health and safety regulations
• Manage in-store budgets, staff cost ratios, and profit objectives

Requirements

• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
• Basic accounting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to manage interpersonal conflicts and build effective teams
• First aid training (or willingness to undergo in-house training)
• Ability to undergo applicable background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• College Diploma in Business Retail Management or an equivalent field
• Previous experience in thrift retail or fashion-focused environments
• Experience working within a Not-for-Profit or charitable organization
• Bilingualism (French language skills)
