Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct all store operations to meet sales targets and control expenses while maintaining customer service standards
• Hire, orient, train, evaluate, and manage a team of sales associates and volunteers
• Manage store inventory, including the retrieval, sorting, and pricing of donations
• Plan store layouts, window displays, and merchandise displays to attract customers
• Prepare financial reports, including sales reports, staffing costs, and payroll data
• Ensure in-store safety for staff and customers by maintaining cleanliness and clear exits
• Manage the in-store budget and execute objectives to attain sales margins

Requirements

• 3 years of progressive retail experience
• Basic accounting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• First aid training (or willingness to learn in-house)
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• College Diploma in Business Retail Management or an equivalent field
• Experience in thrift retail or fashion environments
• Experience working for a non-profit or charitable organization
• Proficiency in the French language
