About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store employees
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations
- Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
- Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Partner with Sales Reps to make outside sales calls to increase market share
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- High School diploma or Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC)
- At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role or supervising others
- At least one (1) year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Experience using timekeeping or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
- Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager
- Ability to communicate in more than one language
