Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the retail team to deliver key performance indicators and drive profitable sales
• Ensure exceptional customer service by modeling the Simple Sales Process
• Recruit, hire, and onboard brand-aligned associates with a passion for optics
• Coach and develop team members through effective on-the-job training and constructive feedback
• Manage the partnership and co-planning between the Doctor of Optometry and retail functions
• Analyze store financial data and implement strategies to improve profitability
• Oversee administrative duties including payroll, inventory management, and customer paperwork
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to loss prevention policies

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in optical or non-optical retail management
• Strong influencing, negotiating, and team-building skills
• Proficiency with POS systems, computers, and calculators
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• High level of business acumen and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent
• State licensure and/or ABO Certification
• Previous experience in customer service and retail environments
