About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and inspire the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets
- Manage recruitment, induction, training and performance management
- Own store targets and commercial performance, analysing sales data to maximise sales and margin
- Ensure the store is visually compelling and merchandised to brand standards
- Oversee daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and banking
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
- Manage stock control, deliveries, stocktakes, and inventory accuracy
- Create effective rotas to meet trading patterns and control labour costs
- Ensure compliance with legal, company, and health & safety requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management, ideally within fashion or sportswear
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing teams
- Commercially minded with ability to analyse sales and set priorities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work on the shop floor and lead by example during busy periods
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
- Proactive and positive attitude with ability to work under pressure
