Store Counter Sales

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive parts solutions and answers to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Assist team members with technical parts questions using your industry knowledge
• Deliver outstanding customer care and maintain high energy in a fast-paced retail environment
• Engage with customers to provide a positive consumer experience upon entering the store
• Utilize technology including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in the automotive industry or parts store, or a strong willingness to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or automotive dealerships
• Experience in an auction, retail store, or auto body/collision shop
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• ASE Certifications
